Moodle enrollment issue in cross-listed courses & Work-around
by Sharon Strauss - Saturday, January 17, 2015, 9:57 PM

Many cross-listed courses are currently having a problem with the enrollments. Students enrolled in a secondary listing are not showing up in course rosters. Likewise, students registered via a secondary listing in courses with this problem will not see their course on their Moodle home page. We are working to fix this as soon as possible.

Work-around for students

If you are registered in a cross-listed course and you do not see it, most likely it is because your instructor has not yet made the course visible. However, you can search for the Moodle course by name. If the instructor has made it available, you should be able to access it as a guest.

Work-around for faculty

Until the fix is in place, ask  You can use BIONIC to see your complete roster and to email students.

  1. Log into
  2. Go to the Faculty Center
  3. Click on the icon showing several heads next to any of your cross-listed sections to see the full roster. It does not matter whether you select the primary or secondary listing.
  4. Inline image 1
  5. You will now see the roster for your class.  If you wish to email your students, either click the button to "notify all students" or select the students you wish to email and click the button to "notify selected students."
